2月18日 My Space For Development My English Skill ^^Hello Everybody
Today is Mon 18th, Feb 2008. It is a good day,isn't it? Since I has to take an English test at AIT for getting RTG scholarship recently, I intend to revise and develop my English skill quickly. According to quote of Peter, AEP writting lv5 at AUA Academic course, "Using english everyday is a best and effective way to improve your skill" he said. I strongly agree with him and decide to write an essay, not only academic topic but dialy life also that I prefer to write.
Today topic is get( I want to use Italic form but I can't find Italic tool in this space.) Get (Italic form) is a verb whose meaning is has got something or to become. I'm sure that everybody use this word so many and many time as same as I, but I didn't know how to use this word correctly. Fortunately,now, I know it already.
1. get + N.
For example : Where did you get it?
How to use it?
you don't have something >>>> yout get it >>>> you have it.
Notice
get a bus, get a taxi = you take a bus.
2. get + ADJ. = to become
For example : Drink your coffee. It is getting cold.
How to use it?
you're not hungry >>>> you get hungry >>>> you're hungry.
3. get to place = arrive
For example : I usually get to work before 8.30.
4.get + in/out/on/off
get in (a car) < > get out ( of a car)
you go inside and outside a car,but you are only at the car.
get on (a bus) < > get off ( a bus)
you catch a bus and leave from the bus.
